to the heart talk...

What is the passion behind your business? We know all businesses have heart behind them, but in what ways does your business give you purpose?

My passion behind my business is to offer admin services to online entrepreneurs and bloggers remotely. I am building my Virtual Assistant business. It involves a lot of creative-thinking and resourcefulness. It keeps me going. I like to be able to see my clients' brand or business grow. They can't do everything. That's why I help them so they save time and energy.

How do you measure your own success? When will you know when you have "made it"?

I measure my own success by meeting the expectations of my clients. I create short-term goals. When I am able to achieve them consistently, I feel like a successful person already.

What do you excel in as an introvert owning a business? When did you realize that this is a strength in your business?

I like to work on my own. It's definitely an advantage as a Virtual Assistant because I can make my own decisions.

Can you talk about a time you felt out-of-place? What thoughts went through your mind and what was the outcome of the situation?

I felt out-of-place when I got transferred to a new workplace a few years ago. It was a daunting experience. I did not know how I'd be able to adjust to a different environment and co-workers. However, I decided to reach out to others by joining them for lunch and hanging out with them after work. I was able to gain new friends. I also learned that I don't need to be scared whenever I'd be in a different place.

What have you learned about yourself in this business process so far? What goals do you have for your personal growth in the next 5 years?

I have learned that you need to have a passion to succeed and for your services. You should always learn on how to improve your business by investing in online resources and coaching. My biggest goal for myself is to be able to have more clients and help other Virtual Assistants with their business.
